Opticians and hearing experts are getting together to teach children in Mill Hill the importance of using their eyes and ears when crossing roads.
Scrivens Opticians, and hearing care experts The Hearing Company, are running a competition for primary school children called STOP LOOK LISTEN.
Children are being encouraged to create a poster or write a poem, displaying their knowledge of the stop, look and listen rule for safe road crossing.
One winner from Mill Hill will receive a £20 book token for themselves and a £25 book voucher for their school.
The winner will be announced in May, to coincide with National Walk to School Week.
They will then go forward to the national final, where the winner will be awarded a £20 book token for themselves and a £500 book voucher for their school.
