A young mum from Potters Bar is in the national finals of a beauty contest, after winning the Hertfordshire heats.
Kaylee Muldoon, 23, from Blackbury Close, was selected from 400 contestants to represent the county after uploading her photo to the Miss Spirit of True Beauty website.
The event, organised by Valentine Events, aims to promotes body confidence and invites women of all shapes and sizes to take part.
Kaylee said: "It’s going really well so far. I saw the advert online and thought I’d apply because I love pageants and anything to do with beauty, so I’m really excited."
The mum-of-one leads a busy life juggling an Open University course in health and social care with looking after her son.
"I want to get as many qualifications as I can so I have something to fall back on if the modelling doesn’t work out," said Kaylee, who is also in the running for Miss Photogenic as part of the prestigious Miss England contest.
She also hopes to begin a beauty therapy course at college, which would allow her to fit treatments around being a mum.
The grand-final will be held in Coventry in May, and the prizes include a spa break, a digital camera and a professional modelling course.
Kaylee is sponsored by popular Irish folk band the Wolfe Tones, who she hopes to meet with when they finish touring.
She added: "I’m really grateful for all their support and would like to say a massive thank you for their help."
