The people of Barnet are being encouraged to take park in a Big Fun Walk in April to raise money for the North London Hospice.
The seven-and-a-half mile walk will go from East Finchley Underground Station, through many of London’s Royal Parks and finish at Storey's Gate, Westminster.
The walk aims to raise money for the hospice, which supports people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The hospice needs to raise £6 million in the coming year. Only 25 per cent of this will come from statutory funding.
The walk is arranged by the North West Support Group - one of several groups who raise funds and local awareness of the hospice's work.
The group comprises members from different organisations to represent local churches, synagogues and schools as well as themselves, friends and neighbours.
Check-in starts at 9.30am on April 1. There is no fee but all adult walkers are asked to raise at least £30.
