Emmy nominated journalist speaks in Hendon
An Emmy nominated BBC journalist spoke at Middlesex University yesterday.
Paul Mason, Newsnight’s economics editor, gave a talk at the Hendon site on his new book, Why it’s Kicking off Everywhere.
The book looks at the current wave of political unrest in both Europe and the Middle East, and discusses the role of social media in the protests.
About 80 people attended the event and the organiser, Anne Daguerre, said: “I am very pleased with how it went, the turnout was excellent and I think it would have been even better had we been able to hold the event in the evening.”
She added: “Paul Mason was a very engaging speaker and a very nice man to work with.”
