A total of 5,370 free Olympic and Paralympic Games tickets will be handed to students in Barnet, London 2012 organisers have announced.
The giveaway is part of an initiative by the London Mayor and Olympic organisers LOCOG to give as many young people in the capital as possible a chance to see the Games.
Boris Johnson’s Get Set Ticketshare scheme involves 2,419 schools that will all be given free entry to some of this summer’s Olympic events.
Schools in Barnet were handed 2,894 ticket for Olympic events and 2,476 for the Paralympics, it was announced yesterday.
Letters have been sent out this week to individual schools informing them of which tickets they will receive.
