A murder inquiry is underway after one man was stabbed to death and a second seriously injured.

Police were called to Coles Green Road in Dollis Hill at 10.30pm last night following reports of a stabbing.

A 25-year-old man died at the scene. Police know his identity but are waiting for formal identification.

A post-mortem examination is taking place this afternoon at Northwick Park Hospital mortuary.

The second victim, a man in his mid-50s, was taken by ambulance to a London hospital where his condition is understood to be serious but stable.

Three men - two in their late teens and a third in his 30s - were arrested in connection with the stabbings and are being held at separate London police stations.
