The victims of a double stabbing in Dollis Hill on Saturday are believed to be a father and son.

Police and paramedics were called to Coles Green Road at 11.30pm on Saturday following reports of a stabbing.

A 25-year-old man, who has not been formally identified, but is being named as Luke Fitzpatrick, died at the scene.

Witnesses claim that he was stabbed in the neck or throat and that he collapsed and died in Alder Grove.

A 56-year-old, who is thought to be Luke’s father, was also injured and is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Both victims had been at the Ox and Gate pub in Coles Green Road where people had gathered to watch the Champions League final.

It is believed that a fight broke out which then spilled outside the pub before the victims were stabbed in Crest Road.

According to neighbours, the victim’s mother was on holiday at the time of the attack and flew home yesterday.

A friend of the family, who asked not to be named, said: “It’s bad. I was in the pub that night but I was at the back and it all kicked off at the front.

“A load of youths turned up, they hadn’t watched the football and they weren’t allowed in. They were throwing baseball bats.

“It was scary but we didn’t see what happened.”

Patricia French, who lives next to the scene, told the Times Series that she heard two women screaming so went outside to find out what was happening.

At that point she saw the younger victim collapsed on the pavement.

She said: “I’m very upset, it’s at the side of my house. Most people would be upset.

“There has never been a murder here before. It’s horrible.”

Bunches of flowers have been laid at the place where the 25-year-old died.

One message read: “To Luke, RIP, gone but never forgotten. I pray I see you again.”

Another said: “RIP Luke. Taken far too soon.”

Three men were arrested on Saturday night in connection with the incident and taken to separate London police stations.

Two 17-year-olds remain in custody and a 31-year-old was bailed to return late in June pending further inquiries.
