Police are issuing crime prevention advice following a series of burglaries in Potters Bar.
Car keys and a car were stolen from a house in Aberdale Gardens between Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4 and there was a break-in in the same street on Monday, July 9.
DC Robert Wood said: “It is important that people are vigilant around home security, particularly with the warmer weather.
“Ensure you close downstairs windows before leaving the house or going to bed and double your UPVC door by lifting the handle and locking it to engage the security features.
“Also ensure that garden tools are locked away securely and can’t be used by burglars to break in.”
