Optician celebrates 10th anniversary at store in Barnet

An optician in Barnet is celebrating her 10th anniversary at Specsavers.

Sajida Gitay, 45, has worked as a clinical coordinator in the High Street since 2002 and to mark the milestone was presented with a bunch of flowers by a customer.

She said: “I honestly can’t believe where the time has gone.

“I can remember my first day here like it was yesterday.

“I’m on first name terms with lots of our customers and it is lovely to see them return year after year.

“The flowers were a big surprise.”

Store director, Pragna Raghwani said: “This anniversary is a testament to Sajida’s commitment, not only to us, but to the customers she has looked after for all this time.

“We are looking forward to her next ten years with us.”
