A new Saturday club is giving teenagers the chance to try their hand at a range of art and design activities for free.

Middlesex University and the Sorrell Foundation are launching the Art and Design Saturday Club for 14-16 year-olds in Barnet on Saturday, November 10.

Young people will get the chance to develop their skills in drawing and painting, photography, printmaking and 3D design.

The free weekly sessions will take place at The Grove in Hendon – Middlesex University’s new £80m centre for creative courses in Hendon.

The course will also include a visit to an art museum or gallery and an opportunity to attend a masterclass with one of the UK's top artists or designers.

At the end of the course, participants will get the chance to exhibit work in their own summer show at Somerset House in central London.

The club will run until May 18, 2013 with classes taking place from approximately 10am-1pm.
