Road revamp a bad move

I was surprised to see the loss of the mini-roundabouts at the junctions with Station Road and Lichfield Grove along Squires Lane, Finchley, after last week's road resurfacing.

Regarding the 384 bus: in answer to my son's letter (Route is wide of the mark', Times Letters, April 10) I keep reminding him that he will be old one day and not able to drive.

As a supporter of mayoral candidate Councillor Alan Craig, who heads the Christian Choice list, I am concerned at the very selective way in which the media is covering the London election. It is bad for any person or group wanting to promote new policies.

Barnet Council has an excellent record on tree management and has the highest number of street trees of any London borough therefore I was astounded to read your sensationalist article "Hundreds of trees cut down in environmental crime'".

I was very interested to read the story concerning the 384 bus route. A few years ago York Way had a whole year's chaos when a set of traffic lights were installed, and then just a year later the system was removed.
