Being taught a good lesson
8:10am Thursday 1st May 2008
Today's school students are far better informed than they were in the past. It was therefore rather disappointing to see the negative approach expressed in the letter from Harry Ford, Strike not happy for us' (Times Series, April 24). Strikes are not good for anyone. Those taking strike action have to sacrifice their pay and often face public abuse.

Road revamp a bad move
8:00am Thursday 24th April 2008
I was surprised to see the loss of the mini-roundabouts at the junctions with Station Road and Lichfield Grove along Squires Lane, Finchley, after last week's road resurfacing.

Rat facts contested
6:59pm Wednesday 23rd April 2008
I was disappointed to read your highly emotive article about the Barnett family and their dealings with Barnet Homes ("Disgraceful" housing authority tells family to stay in rat house', Times Series, April 10).

Readers need more Choice
6:58pm Wednesday 23rd April 2008
As a supporter of mayoral candidate Councillor Alan Craig, who heads the Christian Choice list, I am concerned at the very selective way in which the media is covering the London election. It is bad for any person or group wanting to promote new policies.

"Environmental crime" was sensationalist
4:14pm Wednesday 23rd April 2008
Barnet Council has an excellent record on tree management and has the highest number of street trees of any London borough therefore I was astounded to read your sensationalist article "Hundreds of trees cut down in environmental crime'".
