I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Barnet Hospital.

My husband Alexander Carydice, age 52, was a self-employed builder and had a business called A&C Property Maintenance. We dated from the age of 15, married at 19 and had four children, now ages 33, twins 23, and a 16-year-old, and two grandsons.

My husband had an operation in December 2007 at a well-known hospital under the consultant management team and after the operation the team calmly walked away with no explanation and never to be seen again.

My husband was left with a rare condition and uncontrollable disease.

The well-known hospital did not do a care plan for my husband and passed him onto another hospital, which also did not do a care plan. After many years, in 2014 my husband was admitted into Barnet Hospital about five times. The consultant Dr Cohen and his team of doctors, nurses and Tammy on Palm ward all put into place a care plan to help and support my husband and it worked, what a wonderful hospital.

Councillor Dee Hart helped put into place the care plan at our home to help and support our family. Cllr Hart also had to contact Ms Wyatt-Lowe for help and support regarding this matter.

I would like to say thank you to Palm ward and all of the doctors, nurses and staff that made my husband’s life a little better.
