On Friday, October 10, the Brent Cross Cricklewood exhibition opened at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, unveiling the first detailed proposals for the scheme.

For those unfamiliar with the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration, here are the headlines.

It will transform Brent Cross Shopping Centre, adding new shops, restaurants and leisure activities to make it a real destination.

It will see in excess of £200million spent on improving local roads and junctions for the benefit of drivers, pedestrians and cyclists alike. It will create new parks and revive existing ones; for example Clitterhouse playing fields will get a makeover worth over £5m.

A new Living Bridge will cross the North Circular, connecting Cricklewood to the shopping centre, the new, bigger bus station and to the new Brent Riverside Park.

There will also be thousands of new homes and jobs created, improvements to Brent Cross Tube station, new bus routes, a new railway station and new facilities for three local schools.

The outline proposals now have planning consent and this next stage is about developing the detailed designs for the first parts to be delivered, in particular the Living Bridge, the road improvements and the new and renewed parks.

So come along to one of our exhibitions to have your say, you’ll be able to meet the project team, ask them any questions and give all your feedback.

This is an exciting opportunity for the area and your chance to help us make the most of it.
