Readers of this letter may well be among the many who have gone online to test their party affiliation on the Vote for Policies website.

In Chipping Barnet and Finchley & Golders Green, more people who blind-tested the policies of six parties found that their sympathies were with Green Party policies rather than any other party’s.

In Chipping Barnet, 806 people have completed the survey and 941 in Finchley & Golders Green. This is many more people than would be canvassed by pollsters.

The popularity of our policies explains why the Green Party has passed the 20,000 members mark.

As a General Election looms, people are looking around to decide how to vote and see that the Green Party remains committed to people and the planet, not austerity, big corporations, and perpetual growth. The days of politics as usual are over. Democratic, honest, people- oriented politics are in the ascendancy. We’re ready.

AM Poppy
