We know we should shop locally to support our High Street shops. I have found that this has certainly worked well for me.
I was told early last year that a new café called Granello had opened at 148 East Barnet Road and that they had an Italian chef with a good reputation. I like to support local businesses and needed an outside caterer to provide a pre-Christmas meal for the fellowship group at St John’s U.R. Church, New Barnet. I approached Granello to ask if they would be interested. Fortunately, they agreed, although they had not attempted anything similar before.
The meal they provided from an interesting and varied menu was delivered on time, delicious, hot and with generous portions. The Italian desserts were homemade and very special.
We hope this local café will flourish and expand its outside catering. Well done Granello.
