The letter from Reuben Thompstone (‘Ensuring full and frank participation’, Your Views, January 8) about the Danish model (I’ve heard it called Swedish) for our libraries is purely political tokenism. And whatever that system is actually doing in Scandinavia, it is not suitable here. But its implementation and subsequent failure would make this administration happy. The letter is published merely as proof of consultation.
