Hospitals are getting such bad press so I just have to say, I was admitted from A&E at Barnet Hospital to a very clean single room. I was on my own so feeling quite scared. I shouldn’t have been as I was greeted with such friendly, compassionate and caring staff, which made my one-week stay very comfortable, but more importantly I got a proper diagnosis and had a speedy recovery.
Five doctors were around my bedside every morning to explain everything to me. The cleanliness was second to none. People were mopping and dusting from the crack of dawn and until very late in the evening.
I couldn’t have got better treatment than if I had gone privately. We are so very lucky to have the NHS, and I really appreciate all those special people who give their time and care to look after all us sick patients. For people who are scared to go into hospital, please don’t be, just let the professionals do their job.
This is my opportunity to say a very big thank you to everyone at Barnet Hospital.
