I'm writing regarding two apparently dangerous bus stops at Falloden Way.

I want to point out, first of all, that there are double solid white lines by the bus stops, which mean according to The Highway Code, rule number 108, that you must not cross or straddle them, unless it is safe to do so.

Obviously, our motorists don't know the rules and are not aware of the problem. In your article (April 26) Danger' bus stops get safety makeover', you say that drivers were forced onto the wrong side of the road to pass buses stopped on the carriageway.

As a bus driver of 102, I see it from a different point of view. We are not forcing anyone onto the wrong side of the road.

It's down to the motorists, they are so much in a hurry, they don't care about other road users, especially buses.

Buses are being delayed by them, because they don't let us pull away from the stops, and it's unfortunately a common problem with which bus drivers have to deal.

I would like you to get it right, and understand the situation from a safety point of view.
