Yeoman’s hypocrisy

Labour leader Phil Yeoman calls for Brian Coleman to resign over the closure of Partingdale Lane (Lane must stay shut', April 3) because he has ignored the wishes of the residents and the opposition'.

Curiously, Mr Yeoman did not call on Alan Williams to resign when he ignored local residents and opposition councillors over the granting of planning permission to Barnet FC for the second stadium. The Conservatives announced their intention to reopen Partingdale Lane clearly, whereas Labour's plans over the desecration of the Green Belt were shrouded in secrecy. It seems that Labour's new leader is as big a hypocrite as the last one.
