Traffic chaos

I would like to bring to your attention the problems that the closure of Partingdale Lane is causing to motorists such as me.

During the week, Frith Lane is congested as early as 7.50am and the queue goes back to Sussex ring. This is caused by the roundabout at the bottom of the hill.

I have tried, like others, to go via Nether Street, but the congestion is similar at the same time. We resort to cutting through the private estate at Mill Hill station when we want to go to the Ridgway.

I would be very curious to know who lives in Partingdale Lane who has enough clout to have it closed. Obviously their well-being is paramount to the borough.

May I suggest that Partingdale Lane is made into a one-way street. It would not inconvenience the residents too much and would help to clear Frith Lane a bit.
