For once I agree with Brian Coleman (‘Humps staying', June 26), humps do not cause motorists to slow down.
To call them 'cushions' is a complete misnomer as they cause those of us with arthritis and joint problems considerable pain every time we travel over them in a vehicle.
The answer is more education of drivers. The continual addition of obstacles in the road does little to reduce accidents, rather, in some cases, is the cause of them.
