With reference to Tabassum Jafri’s letter, asking should over-75s be on the road? (Your Views, June 25).

I am 80 years of age and I have to renew my driving licence every three years, with a written assessment.

Mr Jafri is probably quite young, and I wonder how competent he is behind the wheel? Although I am well over 75, I would have no qualms, in challenging Mr Jafri to any driving competition on his terms.
