More parking will bring in more visitors

What is the reason for the car park that was made some years ago leading off Cool Oak Lane to the Welsh Harp open space being closed almost immediately after construction?

There are no parking facilities from the West Hendon side of the Welsh Harp which obviously deters people from going over this lovely area.

So many more families would make use of this if parking was available.
