In response to Tory defends third Underhill investigation' (October 6), Barnet council tax-payers are entitled to know why and how the previous Labour-led council administration sold the freehold of the Underhill stadium to Barnet Football Club Holdings Ltd and its single shareholder for a mere £10,000.
It has been stated that the potential value of the land could be worth up to £5 million to the freeholder.
If the auditor's investigation results in democratic accountability being restored to the town hall, then £1m will have been money well spent on behalf of residents.
