It is understandable that there are lots of families on the waiting list for council housing in Barnet. However, if the law was changed relating to the fact that local councils cannot use the money obtained from the sale of council housing to build new ones, then the problem would not be so great.

If the council had not decided to spend so much of our council tax money on feathering their own nests, there might be more money available for those who need it.
