MP Mike Freer's mobile surgery idea shows real understanding

I am delighted to see Finchley MP Mike Freer has invested in a mobile surgery (‘MP is man with a van’, Times Series, August 26).

As the cabinet member for adults, I know many of the elderly and infirm have trouble travelling long distances, and bringing advice much closer to their home shows real initiative and understanding.

I would like to wish Mike the utmost success for this great bit of outside-the-box action.
