It is clear from the letters you publish every week that the residents of Barnet have the worst, most inefficient, uncaring local authority in London, perhaps the country.

The letters illuminate a culture of arrogance and bullying of both individuals and organisations trying to represent the views of residents.

The rollout of the cashless parking scheme is just the latest example of how the council leadership is arrogantly prepared to ignore the views and requirements of residents and local business.

The real question is: what can the residents of Barnet do about this situation?

Perhaps we all could stop paying our council tax? The borough would be bankrupt before it could prosecute everyone, but we may get its attention.

I believe, the Times Series should take up the battle on behalf of its readership and let residents know what legal avenues are available and help us get this dreadful administration out of office, to be replaced by a leadership that listens and cares about the residents of, what used to be, one of the better boroughs in London.
