We are told thousands of children in England are being horrifically abused by gangs with current estimates saying up to 10,000 children could be affected by sexual abuse, although it is feared the true figure could be much higher.

Children in local authority care are also more than four times as likely to face sexual exploitation than those who were not.

And this is, according to our brilliant council, the right time to close eight children’s centres and to cut social services?
