Mark Robson hopes his Barnet side can get “back to winning ways” against Accrington Stanley tonight.

The long trip to Morecambe ended in disappointment last time out as Mark Robson and Edgar Davids’ side were beaten 4-1 at the Globe Arena.

It was only the Bees’ second defeat in their last seven League Two games and Robson is looking for an improved performance as Barnet welcome Accrington. He said: “First and foremost, we will be looking for a reaction against Accrington after the defeat. We have been doing well in recent weeks and the Morecambe game was a little bit of a stumble for us.

“So hopefully we can quickly get back to winning ways on Friday at Underhill.”

The Bees had several players missing against the Shrimps through injury, including Ricky Holmes, John Oster and Jordan Brown.

Collins John was also absent from the squad but Robson is hopeful to have them all available for tomorrow’s match.

He said: “We will see how they go but we are hoping that we will get a few back for Accrington. Fingers crossed that will happen but you can’t rush them along.

“You can only bring the players back when they are ready but hopefully we will have them back to give us some more options and more experience.”

Leam Richardson is now in charge at Accrington following Paul Cook’s departure for Chesterfield in October.

Despite Stanley winning just one of their last seven League Two matches, Robson believes it will be a difficult game for his side.

He said: “Accrington lost their manager a little while ago and I know he was getting them to pass the ball and play, as we say, in the right way.

“I’m sure that will be the same and we know it will be a difficult game, as they all are.”
