Edgar Davids is expecting further additions to the Barnet squad

Barnet joint head coach Edgar Davids has indicated the Bees will continue to reinforce their squad despite having more than 30 players on their books.
Striker George Barker and defender Andy Iro signed loan deals at Underhill until January last week and Melvin Holwijn has agreed non-contract terms with the Bees.
Despite a recent upturn in results, Davids believes it is only “logical” to add to the squad.
He said: “We are also going to reinforce in other positions as well. You will see in the future which players they will be.
“I feel you need to reinforce your team, I think that is logical. If you have the opportunity, why not?
“Even the top sides reinforce their teams even if you don’t think they need it.”
Barnet are not in action until December 8 when they face AFC Wimbledon at Underhill and will not have played a competitive match in two weeks.
With the Bees in action five times throughout December, including the busy festive period, when asked if the break could help the side, Davids answered: “It could do. It depends though because at the end of the day you need match fitness as well. But we will definitely have the time to work on things.
“We will train on certain aspects. We have finished the first phase and now are going on to the second phase.”
He continued: “It is going to be hard for everybody because around Christmas everybody plays a lot and the bottom sides can upset the top teams.
“That is the romantic side to this league. I don’t underestimate this league and that’s why I love it.
“You play so many games and there is so much passion and heart that everybody gives it means everybody can match each other.
“Over Christmas if you play three or four matches in a short period of time even the top sides get tired.”
