Krystian Pearce’s loan spell at Barnet ends after this weekend’s match at Dagenham & Redbridge but the centre-back believes there is a "definite possibility" of returning to the Bees if he can’t secure first-team football at Notts County.
The 22-year-old has played 17 games for Barnet since joining the club on a three-month loan in September and has formed a strong partnership alongside David Stephens.
The former Birmingham trainee, who has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 levels, has impressed during his time at Underhill with a series of commanding performances.
Due to the terms of his loan, Barnet are unable to extend his stay at the club but the defender has not ruled out a return to the Bees in the future.
He said: "I have definitely enjoyed my time here and I am sad to see it come to an end. It was always going to be for these three months though.
"I just want to be playing games though so if I go back to Notts County and I am not able to play then it is a definite possibility (of returning).
"It has been an experience that I can certainly learn from and take a lot from. It has been a good few months for me."
Barnet joint head coach Edgar Davids added: "It will be a massive loss because he is one of the pillars of the team. So it is a shame for us and I hope he will get an opportunity back at his club."
