Barnet are closing in on the signing of Dartford striker Harry Crawford.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Blue Square Premier side this season and has netted 12 goals in 24 appearances.

Crawford, who joined the Darts in the summer, is understood to be at The Hive this week ahead of the move.

He had previously played for Southend United but left the club at the end of the 2011/2012 campaign after missing the majority of the season due to injury.

A statement from Dartford said: “After a seven day approach from Barnet FC, Harry Crawford is expected to sign a contract with Barnet subject to a medical.

When Harry joined DFC he stressed that he wanted to return to full time football as soon as possible. As advised from his agent he did not want to commit to a contract.

“We would like to thank Harry for his time here at DFC and wish him the best of luck.”
