Barnet Elizabethans suffer a 13-11 against Imperial Medicals

It was an unhappy return to action for Barnet Elizabethans as they were beaten 13-11 at Imperial Medicals in London Three North West on Saturday.

After a three-week enforced lay-off due to the weather, Barnet started the contest sluggishly and conceded two early tries.

However, a Glyn Bayley penalty and a try from Adrian Todd reduced the arrears and meant that Elizabethans were just two points behind at the break.

A better performance in the second period from Barnet saw them take the lead as Bayley confidently kicked over a second penalty from distance.

But it wasn’t enough for the visitors as Medicals scored a penalty six minutes from time to secure victory, although Elizabethans did collect a bonus point for their efforts.

Barnet are at home this Saturday as they host Datchworth in the league.
