London Academy pupil Gabriel Achampong clinches Wembley and Harrow table tennis league title

He is 14th in the national junior table tennis rankings and Gabriel Achampong added the prestigious Wembley and Harrow table tennis league title to his list of trophies at the league's Closed Championships
The 15-year-old London Academy pupil won the Men's singles and Men's doubles titles at the finals night.
In the singles final, Achampong defeated Steve Buck in three games, having overcome previous champion Costas Papantoniou in the last four.
He teamed up with Omar Khassal, also from the London Academy School in Edgware, in the doubles and the duo beat fellow juniors Mitchell Jones and Karim Khassal 3-2 to clinch victory.
Another junior from the London Academy, Hiba Feredj, won the Ladies singles after defeating Sally Prowen in the final.

The London Academy hosted the regional final of the Jack Petchey Foundation London Schools Table Tennis Championships Singles competition and two of the school’s pupils claimed victory at the event.
Eren Gozcu secured top spot in the Under-13 Boys competition at the expense of Jake Dale and Karim Khassal was victorious in the Under-19 Boys tournament. Omar Khassal finished second to his brother at the event.
