Stevenage have recalled Dani Lopez and Bondz N'Gala from their loans at Barnet

Barnet have been dealt a blow after Stevenage recalled Dani Lopez and Bondz N'Gala from their loan spells with the Bees.

The duo signed one-month loan deals at Underhill in February and were due to return to the Boro after Saturday's clash with Accrington Stanley.

However, due to injuries and suspensions, Stevenage requested the duo return to the Lamex Stadium with immediate effect.

The news will disappoint Barnet head coach Edgar Davids who said after last night's defeat against Oxford United that he wanted to keep the pair.

“We will see whether we can keep them here," Davids said. "We are in talks with Stevenage but they have problems of their own at the moment.

“I am happy with their performances but we will see if we can continue the relationship with the players. Keeping them until the season is definitely an option.”
