Potters Bar Tennis Club's Linda Freedman clinches fourth Ladies' Singles title

Potters Bar Tennis Club held their annual finals day on Saturday and Linda Freedman clinched her fourth Ladies’ Singles title with a victory against Janet Bream.
Freedman took the first set 6-1 but five-time champion Bream battled back and won the second 7-5.
But Freedman showed her quality in the third set as she raced away to win 6-1 and seal the title.
In the Men’s Singles final, Mark Masters finished runner-up for the fourth time after being beaten 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 by Martyn Bassington.
The Men’s Doubles saw a repeat of the 2006 final and Ben Bream and Paul Holman took a record-equalling seventh title with a 6-1, 7-6 victory over Masters and Simon Eaves-Bunce.
The Ladies’ Doubles saw Nikki Hancock and Louise Morrison defeat and Virginia Mash 6-3, 6-4.
Morrison and Holman combined to win the Mixed Doubles with a 7-6, 6-4 victory over Mary Wikner and Bassington while Sue Branch and Bream beat Mash and Alex Jones 6-3, 6-3 to life the Mixed Doubles Plate.
The club held their Junior finals and Michael Mouskides defeated Tim Richards 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to win the 18 or under Boys’ Singles.
The Boys’ Doubles final was won by Robert Chrysanthou and Andrew Tomlinson, the 15 and under Boys’ Singles title saw Chrysanthou beat Oliver Stoddart 7-5, 6-2.
The 15 and Under Girls’ Singles was won by Ella Batten, the 12 and Under Girls’ Singles saw Francesca Franchi beat Ellie Hancock.
