Barnet defender Andy Yiadom accepts supporters are entitled to boo their own side if necessary
Barnet defender Andy Yiadom accepts the Bees supporters are entitled to boo their side if they feel it necessary but admits it “isn’t a nice thing to hear”.
At half time, full time and during certain parts of the game during Barnet’s 2-1 defeat to Macclesfield Town on Tuesday evening, the Bees supporters booed their players.
“It is disappointing to hear your own fans boo you but they come along, pay their money and want to see their team win,” Yiadom said.
“We didn’t do that unfortunately. It isn’t a nice thing to happen but personally I will just take it in.”
Barnet are without a win in five matches in the Skrill Premier and have struggled to impose their passing game in recent weeks.
The Bees have dropped to 12th in the table and Yiadom said it is important the players work hard and recapture their early season form.
He said: “Sometimes people do have a dip in form but that is something that you have to ride out. We need to ride this storm, get back on the training pitch and get things right.
“There are always ups and downs in football but fortunately there is always another game where you can try and put things right.
“We all hate to lose and we want to get it right and win on Saturday. We will try and do everything in our power to do that on Saturday.”
