Barnet have suffered a blow as on-loan Stevenage striker Dani Lopez is out for foreseeable future with a shoulder injury
4:25pm Tuesday 5th November 2013 in Sport
The shoulder injury sustained by Barnet's Dani Lopez against Kidderminster Harriers is set to rule the striker out for the foreseeable future.
While the Bees have not set a time-frame on the Spaniard's absence, he posted on social media website Twitter: "Possibly I will be six weeks without playing my passion."
Lopez has scored two goals in four games since rejoining Barnet on loan from Stevenage.
While Lopez is set for a spell on the sidelines, Jake Hyde is close to making a return to training.
Hyde has been out since the beginning of October with an ankle injury but had been in good form, scoring five goals in eight starts.
Midfielder Curtis Weston has returned to training after he suffered a gashed leg against Wrexham and Roberto Casabella is also close to a first team return.
Midfielders Carl Fletcher and Edgar Davids, along with winger Luke Gambin, should be available for Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Preston North End.
