Wingate & Finchley earned a place in the quarter final of the London Senior Cup after they recorded a 3-0 win against Corinthian Casuals.

In just the third minute Tommy Tejan-Sie curled over a high cross from a cleared corner to David Laird, and he confidently controlled the ball and beat a helpless keeper.

Tejan-Sie then scored himself just two minutes later, latching on to a Marc Weatherstone through ball and finishing calmly.

Keeper Danny Bracken denied Leon Smith at the end of a driving run, and then acrobatically tipped over a Weatherstone flick.

However from the resulting corner he fumbled in the Spencer McCall delivery into the near post for a soft third goal.

A Joel Thompson effort was blocked by Cain Davies, and then he had to be alert to tip a low Jamie Byatt effort around the post.

Byatt scored a penalty on the half hour mark to cut the deficit back to 3-1 as the visitors finished the half in the ascendancy.

Josh Kennett missed a golden chance pulling a one-on-one wide, and he was made to pay as Jason Turley headed home after a superb cross from the right as he was left in acres of space.

Wingate had been lacklustre in parts, but finished the game strongly as Leon Smith released Dean Mason on a counter down the left wing, and a thundering drive struck the outside of the bar.

McCall was next to find the woodwork, hitting the underside of the bar and seeing the ball bounce out from the goalline.
