Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers had 16 athletes representing Hertfordshire at the Southern Inter Counties competition in Bedfordshire on Sunday.
Jamie Harper continued his fine form in the Under-13s by taking home another gold medal with a time of 10.23 while Sophie Parvizi-Wayne’s 17.49 was enough for her to claim silver in the Under-17s.
There were also top-ten finishes from George Groom, who came fourth in the Under-15s with 12.38, and Robbie Lightowler, who was sixth in the Under-17s with 15.50.
In the Senior Women’s event, Sophie Connor crossed the line in sixth overall and was the third fastest Under-23 with a time of 22.58.
At the Southern Masters Championships, Jo Kent starred in the Veteran Women’s race, coming third overall and first in the V45 category with a time of 24.11.
In the Veteran Men’s V60, Russell Devitt ran well to finish 16th with a time of 51.18.
