Barnet goalkeeper Graham Stack says he can’t wait to take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road tomorrow and believes tiredness will not be an issue for the Bees players.

Barnet took on Luton on Boxing Day and were beaten 2-1 at The Hive. The Bees played 45 minutes of that match with ten men and against Salisbury City on Saturday, ended the contest with just nine players.

For both sides it is their third match in the space of a week but Stack doesn’t believe fatigue will affect the players.

He explained: “Physiologically and psychically you will be a little bit down because we have lost back-to-back matches.

“We’ve been reduced to ten men and nine men in those matches and have done a little bit of travelling, but when you turn up at Kenilworth Road the atmosphere will be jumping.

“It is a game that I can’t wait to play in and I think it will be a cracking game. I don’t think there will be room for tiredness and we do have four days to recover from the Salisbury game.”

Jon Nurse is suspended after being sent off against the Hatters while Carl Fletcher and player/head coach Edgar Davids are also banned.

Jack Saville is likely to return to the Barnet defence after he missed Saturday’s defeat due to suspension.

After being sent off for a third time this season on Saturday, Davids said he would stop playing as he was being targeted by officials.

Stack felt the dismissal against Salisbury was harsh and said: “It would be silly for him to stop playing because of that. I am 100 per cent certain he clearly won the ball in the first half when the foul was given. The result was a free kick against us that ends up with the ball in the back of our net.

“That is a punishment in two or three ways and in the end has probably cost us the game. He has gone on to receive another yellow card which, again, I felt was harsh. He was smashed in the face by their centre-half whether or not he has reacted.

“He is frustrated but that is the gaffer’s nature. He does at times react and maybe he has to learn not to do that because he is targeted because people want to play against Edgar Davids.”
