Barnet Copthall swimmers excelled at a prestigious international gala in Luxembourg last weekend.

Swimming for Middlesex County ASA (Amateur Swimming Association), several Copthall members scooped medals at the 16th Luxembourg Euro Meet.

Meghan Byrne, 13, was the pick of the Barnet swimmers as she took gold in the youth 200m freestyle and bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Other medallists included 15-year-old Freddie Cornwell, who was second in the 200m backstroke and third in the 100m backstroke.

Yaron Gerber was second in the 400m individual medley while there was a bronze medal for Analise Carver-Varela, 13, in the 800m freestyle.
