Finchley Amateur Boxing Club’s Eunnis Chaima is through to the national final of the Youth ABA 64kg competition for the third successive year.

Chaima faced off against Aylesbury ABC’s Sam Fitzgerald in the last four at Portsmouth on Saturday.

The Finchley fighter started slowly in the first round before catching Fitzgerald with a stiff body shot. He proceeded to punch and drop off while Fitzgerald struggled and resorted to holding at every opportunity.

The second round and third round followed the same pattern as the first.

In the final stages of the fight, Fitzgerald pressed forward but he was floored by Chaima and received an eight count.

It was an easy decision for the judges and Chaima will contest the final against Boxing Huggy ABC's Hamza Hussain in Manchester on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Mason Smith defeated Lewis Hughes on points at the Romford ABC show last Friday while Nomos Onwegbusi was victorious at the Bodmin ABC show in Cornwall.

Finchley duo Elena Ivanova and Paul Greenidge also boxed at the event but suffered defeats.
