A poor second half display proved costly for Hendon as they succumbed to a 17-12 defeat against Thamesians in Herts/Middlesex League Two.

Hendon took the lead when Judah Simpson went over for an unconverted try in the corner before Brian O’Regan crashed through to score with Mike Evans-Jones converting. However, Thamesians responded with a converted try and the score was 12-7 at the interval.

In the second period, Hendon were under pressure and Thamesians crossed for their second converted try.

With ball being shared between the two teams, Hendon could not get back into an attacking position.

Thamesians were then awarded a long shot at the posts which was converted to secure victory for the hosts.

Hendon are again away to Chess Valley on Saturday.
