Barnet Elizabethans suffered a 20-13 defeat to Hackney in Hertfordshire/Middlesex League One but did claim a losing bonus point.
An early Glyn Bayley penalty had put Elizabethans ahead but that was soon cancelled out by the visitors’ fly-half.
Bayley then went over for the first try of the afternoon and he added the conversion. A further penalty from Bayley put the home side in control but Hackney responded with a converted try of their own.
Elizabethans went into the interval with a 13-10 lead but the visitors forced a converted try after the restart.
Barnet struggled to break through Hackey who added a late penalty to complete their victory.
Mill Hill RFC had a rare weekend off. They return to action against Old Isleworthians on Saturday.
