Barnet Elizabethans claimed their first win in three Hertfordshire/Middlesex League One matches as they defeated Cheshunt 17-10 on Saturday.
Elizabethans applied early pressure but it was the hosts who went ahead through a breakaway try.
Barnet’s reply came soon after as Ricky Stevens crossed over for a score to level the contest at the interval.
Barnet pushed forward in the second period and added two tries through Harry Avent and Matt Harris, who also added both conversions.
Cheshunt grabbed a penalty late on that secured them a losing bonus point but it wasn’t enough to change the result.
Hendon were in ruthless mood on Saturday as they recorded an impressive 41-26 win against Herts/Middlesex League Two basement club Chess Valley.
