Hendon's tumultuous season came to a close with 3-2 defeat at home to Margate on Saturday.
Leon Smith handed the Greens the lead in the ninth minute, but Charlie Allen - son of Barnet boss Martin - equalised before the break.
Matt Bodkin then put Terry Brown's side ahead after the re-start, but in the 82nd minute Dave Diedhou grabbed an equaliser for the Greens.
Hendon could not hold on and with only four minutes remaining, Luke Medley won the tie for Margate.
Gary McCann's side finish the season in eighth place in the Ryman Premier Division.
