New London Broncos head coach Joe Grima has reminded his players they must play for 80 minutes to win in the Super League.

A 30-16 defeat at home to the Huddersfield Giants means the Broncos remain winless and pointless in their first 12 Super League fixtures and 13 games in all competitions.

"To win two points in this competition you've got to play for 80 minutes," Grima told the Broncos' website.

"I think there were a lot of positives to come out of the game but the boys were pretty disappointed in the dressing room."

The Broncos put in one of their best performances of the season to lead 16-10 at half-time at The Hive, but found themselves pegged back in the second-half by the resurgent Giants.

Tries from Atelea Vea and Alex Foster saw the Broncos fight back from an early deficit, with Denny Solomona putting Grima's side ahead before the break.

Two quick touchdowns from Ukuma Ta'ai and Anthony Mullally after the break put the visitors back in front, but in the final minutes Grima felt his side could have taken something from the tie.

"In the second half they scored two tries off errors so and with the conditions as poor as they were today, it was probably enough to get them home.

"With six or seven minutes to go, I felt that the side who scored next would go on to win the game. I thought if we were able to grab a try, the momentum would have got us home but it wasn't to be today," explained Grima.

Any lingering Broncos' hope was finally extinguished when Leroy Cudjoe crossed the line in the final minute.
