Finchley drew at home to Hornsey in the Premier League on Saturday after hanging onto their final two wickets.

The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a total of 252 for five before declaring.

An unbeaten knock of 105 from Adam Rossington led the way for the away side, with Michael Philipson falling 11 runs short of a century of his own.

Francois Haasbroek took two for 48 for the hosts.

Having decided to declare to give themselves the best opportunity of bowling their hosts out, Hornsey could not remove Finchley.

Jake Milton (42) and Mahmudul Hassan (25) top-scored as the hosts finished on 144 for eight.

Philipson excelled with the ball too – taking five for 35.

Stanmore also drew after failing to bowl out hosts Teddington.

Put into bat, Stanmore made 206 all out.

Openers Steve Mehra (49) and Stevie Eskinazi (73) put on an opening stand of 121 before Mehra was dismissed.

James Keightly was the home side’s most effective bowler, taking four for 30.

In response, Teddington reached 173 for seven to take the draw.

Both openers were dismissed for ducks but 45 from Tom Ullyott and 38 from James Fear gave Teddington a glimmer of hope.

Abishek Kulkarni was the leading Stanmore bowler, claiming three for 40.

Potters Bar enjoyed a ten-wicket victory at home to Radlett in the Premier Division.

The hosts won the toss and decided to bowl first, removing their visitors for just 121.

Opener Fraser Crawford (32) top-scored for Radlett, with Joe Cooke contributing 28 and Randeep Sanghera adding 23.

Don Manuwelge was in devastating form with the ball, helping himself to five for 25.

Potters Bar reached 124 without losing a wicket to claim the victory.

Openers Lenny Cooper (80 not out) and Liam Gough (41 not out) scored the runs to ease the hosts home.

In the Championship, Old Finchleians suffered a frustrating 85-run home defeat against Flitwick thanks to a poor batting display.

Again below strength, the hosts won the toss and inserted the visitors in a game shortened by the earlier rain.

On a difficult pitch, Flitwick never got going against a varied attack in which Depala Mayur Senior (four for 20) and Depala Mayur Junior (two for 20) had the most success.

Late hitting from Joseph (29) and Moxom (21) boosted the visitors to 126 Old Finchleians were in trouble from the start as they were quickly reduced to 11 for three.

The pace of Kiwi Joseph (six for 26) and Sharpe (four for 13) was too much for the home side and poor shot selection and little application saw them crumble to 41 all out in just 18.1 overs.

Totteridge Millhillians lost by 50 runs at Chorleywood.

Put into bat, the home side reached 208 for nine in their allowance of overs.

Andrew Dunning top-scored after falling a run short of his half-century, whilst William Pendered and Freddie Dare both racked up 28 runs.

Hasan Mahmood was the visitors’ top bowler, taking three for 28.

Totteridge were bowled out for 154 in reply, having been at 85 for seven at one stage.

Ramesh Subasinghe (54) top-scored for the visitors and Vishal Bhimjiyani chipped in with 33 but too few made meaningful contributions.

Pendered was Chorleywood’s top wicket-taker, finishing with figures of five for 43.

Top-of-the-league Mill Hill Village claimed a comfortable nine-wicket victory over Waltham X Rosedale Seconds.

Having won the toss, captain David Overton (six for 34) invited the visitors to bat first and then began dismantling their top order, dismissing the first four Waltham batsmen cheaply.

The visitors innings’ lasted 24 overs and yielded a meagre 66 runs, with Majid Asif and Graeme Burton picking up two wickets apiece to bring a swift end to proceedings.

In reply, the hosts took just 13 overs to knock off the small victory target, losing only one wicket along the way.

Danny Potter continued his good form with a number of elegant drives in his 33 not out and Phil Smith (21 not out) clubbed a handful of boundaries to bring the game to an early finish.
